Satelitul geostationar ES'hailsat-2 are la ,,bord,, si transponderul pentru radioamator, lansat de la Centrul Spatial Kennedy in data de 15 Noiembrie 2018 ora 20:46 GMT iar acum este pe orbita geostationara 25.5° Est. Acesta este primul transponder pentru amatori pus in orbita geostationara si se preconizeaza ca arie de acoperire din Brazilia pana in Tailanda .

– 75 cm dishes at peak -2dB
– NB: linear vertical polarisation
– WB: linear horizontal polarisation
S-Band 2.4 GHz NB-Uplink:
– narrow band modes like SSB, CW
– 5W nominal Uplink power (22.5 dBi antenna gain, 75cm dish)
– RHCP polarisation
S-Band 2.4 GHz WB-Uplink (DATV):
– wide band modes, DVB-S2
– peak EIRP of 53 dBW (2.4m dish and 100W) required
– RHCP polarisation

Colegii radioamatori din rusia si nu numai dezbat pe forumul de ultrascurte http://forum.vhfdx.ru/sputniki/eshailsat-2/ de ceva vreme variante pentru abrodarea receptiei in 10ghz prin modificarea LNB-urilor pentru satelit .
Pare greu dar .....este abordabil
